Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal play in the Wimbledon final in July. Both players are seeking their fifth Wimbledon men’s singles title alongside their eighth Grand Slam win.
The 35-year-old Austrian is in the field for the final of the 2017 Wimbledon Championships.
Federer will be playing the third-straight week in this year’s tournament, having played on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The first official match of Roger Federer’s career will be to defend his Wimbledon title he won in 2010.
But the man who now holds the record for most Wimbledon titles is looking forward to the milestone occasion.
Determined to defend both the Grand Slam titles, Roger Federer is aiming to complete his 100th official match on Friday, when he will play the’special’ final in which he is battling Rafael Nadal for a third Wimbledon title.
Federer’s Wimbledon campaign is already a triumph for the Austrian, who is seeking his fifth Men’s Singles title alongside his eighth Grand Slam title. In 2013, Federer became the oldest Open champion at age 35.
But the man who now holds the record for most Grand Slam title is eager to defend both of his titles at the All England Club.
Federer plans to play doubles with his injured brother Andreas, who is also competing for his maiden title at the All England Club in partnership with his brother Stefan.
Federer first met his brother at a tournament in Vienna in 2015.
They have battled fiercely in each of the previous two majors, with Federer eventually winning both the US Open and the Roland Garros Masters. Now, in partnership with Austrian partner, Nicolas Mahut, Federer will be looking to continue their rivalry.
And in addition to his doubles match, Federer will also play a singles tune to one of his most recognizable songs, the ‘Baba O’Rabou
