The National Institute on Drug Abuse is Giving It A Shot

Abcarian: Is “California sober” a real thing, or just an excuse to keep getting high?

(I’ll just sit down and write the real news story right now.)

I’m glad they gave this a shot, and I’m glad they’re pushing the point, because we need to look and see what’s really going on here.

From the news report:

The report is one of the first to be issued by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, part of the U.S. federal government’s National Institutes of Health.

The institute reports about drug abuse in California and drug abuse around the country, and the report comes on the heels of a major study from the UC Davis’ School of Medicine that found that one prescription drug in particular — cocaine — may actually be more prevalent in California than marijuana is.

According to the report, the abuse of cocaine in this state is more than double the rate of abuse of marijuana in this state.

And if you don’t, you should. Because you have been lied to.

You’ve been lied to so many times, it doesn’t even feel real anymore.

So that was
